Heritage Awareness Programme at Hariweda village, Nagpur

Institute of Design Education and Architectural Studies (IDEAS) have successfully conducted a Heritage Awareness Programme at Budh Vihar, Hariweda gaon near Nagpur on the 22^nd of June’2013.

In continuation with the course work of the measured drawings of the Bahuli vihir at Weda gaon, the students of 5^th semester organized the awareness programme in which they displayed their sheets, gave a presentation on LCD and enacted a nukkad natak before the villagers. The event was followed by refreshments and then a site visit to the Bahuli vihir for all. 

The students work was highly appreciated by all the dignitaries present and a worthwhile outcome of the event was to undertake the conservation of the bahuli vihir with the combined efforts of the Villagers of Wedagaon, A.S.I. and IDEAS College.

Prof.Kirti Bhonsle and Artist. Aditi Ghadge from IDEAS along with students of 5^th semester Piyush Thavkar, Roshan Gaware, Tushar Dhamgaye and Atul Zilpe helped in co-ordinating the event. 

Teaching Anthropometrics through Puppet Show !!

For the first year students in architecture teaching anthropometrics through the medium of a puppet show with a story narration and a theme accompanied and enhanced by a detailed model, makes learning quick to understand and assimilate for students.
